First time shopping on ZiMart? We're ecstatic to have you on-board our Online Supermarket website! We have tried extremely hard to make our site as easy as possible for you to buy from. You can use our navigation and search tools to find products and our basket and payment pages are quick and easy to complete.
To place an order on this website, you will need:

- a credit card
- Contact us first if you want to pay with EcoCash/Western Union
Creating an Account
You are required to create an account when you place an order and you can do this when you are checking out or as a first-time browser that is looking to buy in the future. As a valued account holder with ZiMart, you are entitled to exclusive promotions and discounts.
Creating an account allows you to manage your contact and delivery details and your contact preferences. It also allows you to checkout more quickly and efficiently when you place future orders.
If you would like to send your order to a new delivery address you can alter your account settings and add additional delivery addresses. You can then select this as part of your new order. If you are shopping from outside Zimbabwe, supply at least 2 contact numbers for your recipient.
Finding the Products You Want
You can use the "Products" or "Categories" menu items at the top of every page to browse through our selection of great value products or use our helpful suggestions for bestsellers and new arrivals. If you know what you are looking for, use the search box to enter keywords relating to the product.
When looking for a product you can search for the product name. If nothing comes up, check the spelling and try possible variations of the spelling/name.
As our great value collections are so popular, search results will include products that fit your search criteria. If you are still unable to find the products you are looking for, this may mean that you need to adjust your search or that we do not currently hold the item in stock. Some items may be re-advertised in time, so please check back regularly.
Adding products to the basket
When you have found the product you would like to buy, enter the quantity you would like and press add to basket. You can see how many items are currently in your basket and the total amount (excluding discounts or postage costs) in the top right of every page.
If you would like to view the contents of your basket in further detail or you are ready to checkout, click on the view basket button and then checkout.
Using the basket
You can adjust the quantity of each item in your basket or delete any items you no longer wish to purchase. If you have a promotional code, enter it into the box and click Apply. This will then be applied to your order.
Placing your order
When you are happy with the contents of your basket and are ready to complete your order, click Checkout. You will be prompted to enter your email address and billing address details if you are not already signed in. If you have already registered you will be asked to enter your username and password and we will retrieve your billing and delivery address, taking you directly to the payment page where you can enter your payment card details and confirm your order with us.
We currently take payments from VISA, MasterCard and Credit Cards. You can also checkout using EcoCash or Western Union but you need to contact us first so that we can activate the options for you. We keep them switched off in order to prevent abuse – people place orders that they never pay for and we end up having to cancel them. If you do not own a credit card but have a family member or friend, why not give them the cash and you can use their card?
If you put items in your basket when you are signed in, they will remain in your basket for a period of time. If you then return to the site and sign in, your previous basket will still be available, however we cannot guarantee that these items will still be in stock or available for the same price.
Applying a Promotion Code
If you have a valid promotional code that you would like to apply to your order, enter it in the box provided on the Checkout page and press Apply to confirm.
If the promotional code you entered is not accepted, it may be down to a number of reasons. You can ensure this does not occur by following these steps:
- Enter the code exactly as it appears on the offer letter, discount website or advertisement.
- Ensure the code is still in date as most promotional codes are advertised with an expiry date.
- Ensure that you have satisfied any minimum order requirement, if applicable
- Please ensure you are not trying to add a promotional code when purchasing products that are already discounted or on other promotions which would create a "double-discount" situation.
If the code you entered was accepted, but you are not seeing the promotion/discount applied to your order, please check the details of the promotion, as you may have to spend a certain amount before you are eligible. If you have found a promotional code on a discount code website, you may not have been given the correct qualifying information (the offer may only apply to certain products or a specific total order value).
ZiMart reserve the right to withdraw offers at any time.
Please be aware that delivery charges are applied at the checkout stage. If you have a promotional code for Free Delivery make sure you have applied it at this stage and that the correct amount has been deducted from your order total.
Sometimes customers are confused as to why certain promotional codes do not work - often the reason is that they have expired or that they are not valid in conjunction with other promotional offers already activated in your basket.
Credit card payment details are taken securely through PayGate. This requires a connection to their secure servers and can sometimes time-out. If this happens it is often temporary, so we would encourage you to try again in a short while.
What Happens Next
After you've placed your order, you will receive two email confirmations and if paying by by an offline method e.g. Western Union or EcoCash, you will receive a further confirmation:
- Firstly you will receive an order confirmation email from ZiMart detailing the contents of your order and any discounts taken.
- Secondly you will receive an order payment email confirmation from PayGate which will show that payment has been taken successfully and that the order will have completed.
- If you have paid via Western Union or EcoCash, you will also receive an order confirmation from us confirming your payment has been received.
Your order will then be assigned a Paid and Unfulfilled order statuses and our fulfillment team is challenged with dispatching your order. You can expect delivery within 2-7 days. (Find out more on our Delivery and Shipping page)
